LGW, in partnership with Cook Ross, Inc., kicks off its first leadership development program, the Effective Leadership Institute.

2010, April 13
LGW holds its 24th Anniversary Awards Dinner & Silent Auction at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC with the theme Connect. Collaborate. Community.

2010, June 11
Fifty-four leaders of LGW's 24th Class, the Class of 2010, officially become members of LGW upon the successful completion of their program year during their closing retreat at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA. This brings LGW's membership to over 1,250 members.

The members of Youth Leadership Greater Washington's Class of 2010 graduate during a ceremony held at the Greater Washington Collaborative.

2010, June 23
Twenty-one members of LGW's inaugural leadership development program, Effective Leadership Institute, complete their program.

2010, June 24
LGW kicks off its 25th Anniversary at the 2010 Annual Meeting held at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, VA. The theme of the year, Bright Past. Brilliant Future. is revealed to members and guests, along with new initiatives and events for the year. Maxine B. Baker ('99) is elected to a second term as Board Chair.

2010, October 14
During the 25th Anniversary Fall Kick-Off Luncheon over 500 of the region's top decision-makers gather to celebrate 25 years of LGW collaboration and the formal induction of the Class of 2010 (TEN-acious) into LGW membership.

2011, February 8
LGW holds its Midwinter Networking Reception & Silent Auction at PNC Place featuring a scenic view of the District skyline.

2011, April 12
More than 550 guests attend the 25th Anniversary Awards Gala & Networking Extravaganza held at the Newseum to celebrate 25 years of connecting the region's newsmakers.

2011, June 17
Due to a record number of applications and in honor of its 25th Anniversary, LGW accepts and graduates two Youth Leadership Greater Washington classes, totaling 80 youth leaders.

2011, June 24-25
LGW gives back to the community during its 25th Anniversary through Volunteer Days, two days of organized volunteer projects around the region.

2011, June 30
Julie Rosenthal ('02) is officially sworn in as LGW's Board of Directors Chair during the 2011 Annual Meeting held at the DoubleTree Crystal City.

2011, October 12
The 26th Annual Fall Kick-Off Luncheon is held at the Marriott Wardman Park where the Class of 2011 (Forever 25) is introduced to the membership. Mayor Vincent C. Gray provides greetings and acknowledges the connections created by LGW members across the region.
