About Youth Leadership Greater Washington

Youth Leadership Greater Washington (YLGW) provides a 6-month, hands-on youth leadership development and community education program for high school sophomores and juniors in the Greater Washington region.  Each program focuses on a different topic, ranging from leadership to health to public safety. YLGW’s Class of 2010 had an amazing program year, which completed with their graduation on June 18, 2010. The forty-eight class members engaged high-level public officials, learned about many of the challenges and opportunities of the Greater Washington region, and formed friendships with a diverse network of other high school juniors and sophomores. Applications for the Class of 2011 will be available in the Fall of 2010.
