April 11, 2017
Leadership Greater Washington welcomes you to join other members in the spirit of service for our next Community Service Day to be held in partnership with Whitman-Walker Health (WWH) and sponsored by IBM.
Whitman-Walker Health has a robust sexually-transmitted infection (STI) self-testing program. Clients can walk into the health centers, without the need to see a medical provider, to do routine STI testing. WWH provides instructions and kits to clients, who decide what tests to complete based on their own self-assessment of risk.
During this event, you will learn about the scope of services provided by the WWH to individuals and families in the region, and support its efforts by assembling STI self-test kits alongside WWH staff.
Light refreshments and a tour of the health center will be made available to volunteers.
