Emerald is a nonprofit management professional with twelve years of experience helping organizations advance their missions through resource development, project management, and systems building. In her role at LGW, Emerald manages the organization's development efforts through cultivation and stewardship of relationships with foundations, corporate donors, and individual supporters. Prior to joining LGW, Emerald served as Director of Development at Communities In Schools of the Nation’s Capital where she developed and led a $1.8 million fundraising strategy to support the organization’s operations and expansion. Her experience in the nonprofit sector spans across both philanthropic and direct-service agencies, having worked at organizations such as CityBridge Foundation and Higher Achievement.

Emerald is a graduate of Howard University and earned an executive certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. In addition to her work in the social sector, Emerald is a former NFL Cheerleader and aspiring blogger with a fond love for community and philanthropy.
